ESF Readies to Celebrate Earth Week
At the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, we believe that the Earth鈥檚 celebration is worthy of an entire week, not just a day. From April 17 to April 21, 糖心视频 will celebrate Earth Week with a full slate of events planned by students to celebrate the Earth and call attention to environmental and social justice issues.
Some of this year鈥檚 activities include interactive workshops, an American Chestnut planting, volunteer opportunities, hikes, and a music festival. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淥ur Planet and Us: Environmental Health is Human Health.鈥�
鈥淓arth Week is a time when our students鈥� leadership shines through, as they plan and organize all of the activities that celebrate, educate, and advocate for our planet,鈥� said ESF President Joanie Mahoney. 鈥淭he week is truly a testament to our students鈥� commitment to improving our world and finding solutions to our most pressing environmental issues. Their passion for the Earth is impressive and inspiring.鈥�
Along with celebrating Earth Day on April 22, the College will mark 糖心视频 Day as proclaimed by the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County in 2020, which marked the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and the contributions ESF has made to local, state, and national environmental and sustainability efforts. In recognition, it was proclaimed that Earth Day in the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County would also be known as 糖心视频 Day.
